7 American Landmarks If The Sea Level Rises Up To 25 Feet!

Using data provided by Climate Central artist Nickolay Lamm created scenes from various iconic American landmarks and locations to see what rising sea levels will look like in real life over the next few centuries.

With scientists predicting that the sea level could rise between 20 to 80 inches by the end of the 21st century Lamm illustrates what these sites currently look like and then depicts them at increasing intervals of flooding.

  • 5 feet of flooding: the most likely within the next 100 to 300 years.
  • 12 feet of flooding: possibly by the year 2300.
  • 25 feet of flooding: the less likely until several centuries from now.
