Luckily, the firefighters were able to quickly contain the flames and rescue the family puppy. Someone photographed one of the firefighters carrying the puppy out of the burning building, in what can only be described as the most adorable rescue of all time because THE PUPPY IS SMILING! Guy Who Received Wrong Number Text About a Family’s Newborn Announcement Shows Up at Hospital With Gifts
A guy named Dennis Williams was accidentally sent text messages from a family that was using a group text to inform each other about a newborn’s birth. He let the senders know they had the wrong number, but then he and his brother decided they wanted to congratulate the new parents in person. The brothers surprised the new parents at a Georgia hospital after texting the family that they’d like to come meet the baby and bring presents. (If they aren’t named the godparents after this that family is doing everything wrong!!!)
Prince Harry is Spot On With What He Had to Say About Mental Health Issues
In an interview with “Good Morning America”, Prince Harry spoke about the negative stereotypes that veterans with mental health conditions are labeled with. “The stigma surrounding it is a massive issue…I want to re-emphasize the point to people that mental illness is not a ticking time bomb.” A former serviceman in the British Armed Forces, veteran health is hugely personal cause for Prince Harry. He continued to explain, “Psychological illnesses can be fixed if sorted out early enough…We’ve got to keep the issue at the forefront of people’s minds … just talking about it makes all the difference.” Now if we could just get that kind of mindset over here in the states…
Popeye’s Job Applicant Gets Hired After Helping to Thwart a Robbery
An 18-year-old guy who was interviewing for a job at a Popeyes restaurant had his interview cut short when a thief reached over the counter and into the cash register and grabbed money. He tried to run for it, but the manager managed to block him at the door. The job applicant then stepped in to help by bending the robber’s arm back to keep him from escaping. He and the restaurant’s cook held the guy until police arrived. Later the manager told the applicant, “You’re hired. You earned it”. (This actually would have been a much better story if the police were the ones that said, “You’re hired. You earned it” after all that.)
