Revenge is a tricky thing. You want to get back at the person who wronged you, but you’ve gotta do it in a way that doesn’t get your ass sent to jail in response. All those stories of dudes who went apeshit with a baseball bat after they walked in on their girlfriends cheating on them? Yeah, not the way to go. You might feel good in the short term about having bashed the guy’s skull in, but those 20 years behind bars you spend for murder probably don’t feel so hot.
But for Duston Holloway, an average guy just like you from Emory, Texas, revenge wasn’t a dish best served with a machete and several hundred sheets of plastic lining. Instead of flipping out and beating the hell out of the guy he found his girlfriend in bed with upon returning home…
…he took pictures of them.
Now, I know to you and I that sounds pretty lame. “Where’s the bloodshed? The murder? He could’ve at least sliced a toe off or something!” is what I normally would’ve said because I am a sick, twisted fuck who gets mild-to-moderate enjoyment out of seeing others fail. But Duston had a plan – put the pictures on Facebook and wait for them to go viral.
Duston admits that he initially wanted to kick the guy’s ass, but instead “I calmly took selfies and walked like a boss. I did tap her to wake her up but she was drunk as a skunk passed out. I was gonna ask if I was gonna have to sleep in the spare bedroom and what kind of breakfast the dude liked.”
Luckily for Duston, his pictures did indeed go viral, which is a way better punishment than your average beating. Not only do people know this chick is a cheating cum stain of a human being, but people have also been coming out of the woodwork to support Duston in what is clearly a heartbreaking moment in his life. “Good for you on being the bigger person!” one woman commented on his photos, “I’m sure one day you will find someone who thinks the world of you!”
Others have even invited him out in an effort to cheer him up. “Yo saw an article about a trick that played you,” one eloquent guy commented, “You ever come out to Cleveland Ohio I got you bro, we’ll find you a few to run through. Cheers bruv!”
Overwhelmed by all his newfound support, Duston later posted that “I’ve had thousands of messages, thousands upon thousands of people from all over the world congratulating me on being a better man and walking away,” adding that in the moment he’d felt like his world had fallen apart but that he now sees “the world ain’t as bad as we think.”
