Kelly Clarkson has revealed that she is officially a children’s book author! Her first venture into the publishing world? A book starring daughter River Rose.
The children’s book called “River Rose and the Magic Lullaby” will debut on Oct. 4.
“My hope is for little kids to read ‘River Rose and the Magic Lullaby’ and be inspired by it,” Clarkson said of the book to People.
“And know they can achieve anything. Dream big and make big thinks happen,” said Clarkson.
Clarkson revealed a clip on her official webpage where she talked about the book and how her daughter inspired her.
“It’s kind of a cool thing to be on a plane with my daughter, we were going on trips to the U.K. and Asia and Australia, all these amazing places that she was too little to remember,” Clarkson said.
“Basically I started writing down these little fun stories — of like when we went to Australia and she got to hang out with some kangaroos,” she revealed.
Clarkson then revealed that the stories began to take on a life of their own and changed into what is now the book.
