Lady Gaga has tattooed David Bowie’s face on the side of her body. The singer, who will pay tribute to the late star at the Grammy Awards on Monday night, shared a photo of her new ink over the weekend.
The tattoo features Bowie’s face from the cover of his 1973 album “Aladdin Sane.”

West Hollywood’s Mark Mahoney created the tattoo. Gaga shared a pic of the ink on snapchat, writing, “this was the image that changed my life.” In another shot, she wrote: “Hail Mary full of grace Saint Bowie.”
Bowie died on Jan. 10 after battling cancer. Tonight, Gaga will honor Bowie during the Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy said in a statement that the pop star will perform “a multisensory testament to the icon’s incredible artistry and a reflection of his limitless creativity.”
Gaga recently told the Hollywood Reporter: “When I fell in love with David Bowie, when I was living on the Lower East Side, I always felt that his glamour was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls.
“He is a true, true artist and I don’t know if I ever went ‘Oh, I’m going to be that way like this,’ or if I arrived upon it slowly, realizing it was my calling and that’s what drew me to him…”
