1216_leonard-fournette_instagram2LSU’s gonna have to face Lamar Jackson without their star RB … ’cause Leonard Fournette‘s decided to sit out the Citrus Bowl … and get healthy for the NFL draft.

Fournette, a junior, announced he’d be leaving for the NFL after this season. The 19th ranked Tigers have 1 game left — a highly anticipated matchup against Louisville on New Year’s Eve — but Fournette ain’t playin’.

Friday morning, L.F. announced that rather than play on an injured ankle, he’d sit out the game … and focus on being healthy for April’s draft.

FYI — Fournette says his ankle is at “85 to 90 percent.”

“This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, not playing in the bowl, but it’s best for me and my future,” Fournette said, “It was hard telling the guys. I love them dearly.”

Fournette ends his career at LSU with over 4,000 total yards and 41 TDs.
