Ah it’s so close we can feel it! What is so close you ask? Why the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, aka the music industry Super Bowl! As always, there are a varied amount of artists contending for Grammys but likely only a select few will come out on top.
After sitting on the nominees in December and January and issuing the The Way Too Early And Bold 58th Annual Grammy Awards Predictions back on December 12, 2015, here are THE predictions on who will be victorious on Monday, Feb. 15.
Oh and by the way, the numbers correspond with the order of the respective field/categories via the official Grammys site.
1. Record of the Year
D’Angelo And The Vanguard, “Really Love” (Black Messiah)
Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars, “Uptown Funk” (Uptown Special)
Ed Sheeran, “Thinking Out Loud” (X)
Taylor Swift, “Blank Space” (1989)
The Weeknd, “Can’t Feel My Face” (Beauty Behind The Madness)
Winner: “Uptown Funk”
The Record of the Year field is jam-packed, but “Uptown Funk” just might be too big to ignore. The former number one hit ruled the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks and had “everybody and his brother” onboard. The biggest reason why it might be upset? It peaked in early 2015, which seems likes ages ago.
