Police arrested a man lurking around Taylor Swift’s Los Angeles home on Wednesday afternoon. Neighbors got concerned after spotting a bearded individual wearing fatigues at the bottom of her driveway.
According to TMZ, the trespasser didn’t resist after police took him into custody in the afternoon. He was questioned and sent to the hospital for evaluation. No charges have been filed.
Following the incident, a rep for the singer suggested that the suspect found out where Swift lives as a result of details about her personal life.
The rep told WENN: “This is why it’s irresponsible for the media to publish the addresses or recent real estate transactions of celebrities. This, or potentially worse, is the end result.”
It isn’t the first time Swift has had to deal with overzealous fans. In March 2014 a man named Timothy Sweet claimed he was married to the singer and bombarded her with emails, letters and social media posts.
He allegedly wrote in one message: ‘My wife, Taylor Swift (Sweet) and I live in Beverly Hills. I am in love with her. In conclusion, we treat each other with dignity and respect. I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life.”
Swift was able to obtain a restraining order against Sweet, who was ordered stay at least 100 yards away from her over the next three years.
Also in 2014, a judge issued a no-contact order to a man who repeatedly trespassed at the pop star’s Rhode Island vacation home.
