Reality star Joe Giudice, husband of Teresa Giudice, got emotional while opening up about the possibility of facing deportation after he completes a mandatory 41-month prison sentence.
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star remarked to Entertainment Tonight that he was “ready” to take his sentence and whatever his future held after its completion.
“Anything can happen, you know? There is nothing in life that is certain,” Guidice stated to Entertainment Tonight of his possible deportation after his prison term is over.
“We will deal with that when I get out,” he continued of the uncertain direction his life might take after his release.
As reported by Entertainment Tonight, the couple were convicted of several fraud charges, including conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and bankruptcy fraud in October 2014.
The couple were then allowed to serve their time separately so that one of them could be home to take care of their children.
Joe Guidice remarked that it hurts him to realize that he will be away from his daughters for so long.
“They go on computers, they know everything,” revealed Joe Guidice.
“I mean my daughter Milania tells me, ‘You’re going away for a lot more months than mommy,'” said a tearful Guidice.
Joe Guidice is attempting to take his sentence in stride, admitting that he had been drinking since wife Teresa was incarcerated and that his time in prison could be a good way to re-evaluate his life and start off with a healthier lifestyle than before.
“I haven’t stopped drinking in I don’t know how long, so I could definitely use it just for that, you know?” Joe shared. “[It’s] probably going to be a good thing for me, health wise anyway.”
Teresa Guidice continues to film her Bravo reality series, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
Joe Guidice will begin his prison sentence sometime this month.
