Russian Alien Hunting Spacecraft Blasting Off For Mars!

Our space faring friends, the Russians and Europeans in a joint mission are setting out on the search for life on the planet Mars.

A new mission to Mars is blasting off this Monday from Kazakhstan and should reach Mars by October.

The ExoMars 2016 mission is super exciting for space enthusiasts because unlike other missions, it’s primary purpose is to hunt for signs of past or present life on the Red Planet using specifically designed scientific instruments.

An orbiter named Trace Gas will circle the planet while a landing module named Schiaparelli will travel through the Mars atmosphere searching for methane which can be created by biological processes, AKA alien life.

The scientific data collecting, which as the potential to make the greatest discovery in the history of mankind, should last five years. This is going to be followed up by another ExoMars mission in 2018 which will land a rover on the planet.

The ExoMars 2018 rover will feature a drill capable of digging deep into the Martian soil, collecting samples which then will be pulled into an onboard chemistry lab, designed to detect signs of life. If you have ever hoped to live to see the headline “Life On Mars” it may be coming sooner than you think.

Do you think the ExoMars mission will find life on the Red Planet? What will this mean for humanity?
