Salma Hayek's Dog Killed: Why Cops Have Already Closed The Case

Salma Hayek’s dog was killed on Friday after he ventured onto a neighbor’s property. The 9-year-old dog named Mozart was found dead on Hayek’s ranch in Washington State.

TMZ reports that there were “extenuating circumstances” behind the animal’s death. The neighbor who shot Salma Hayek’s dog said he was sick of her animals coming on his property attacking his dogs. He told authorities that every time the actress’ caretakers took her dogs for a walk, this would happen.

On Friday the neighbor shot at several of Salma’s dogs when they were in his garage. He used a pellet gun – not intending to kill any of the animals – only to scare them. Even police say pellet guns aren’t ordinarily lethal to dogs.

The investigation is reportedly closed because the neighbor was within his right to shoot Hayek’s dog.

Salma isn’t so ready to move on, however. She wrote on her Instagram that she’s been mourning the loss of Mozart and that she wants authorities to “do justice to this wonderful dog” that she hadn’t known to ever bite or attack anyone.

“I haven’t posted for a week as I been mourning the death of my dog, Mozart who I personally delivered out of his mother’s womb,” Hayek wrote on her Instagram page.

“He was found dead in my ranch last Friday with a shot close to his heart. I am hoping that the Washington State authorities do justice to this wonderful dog whom in 9 years never bit or attacked anyone.”

She added: “He loved his territory and never strayed away… he was the most loving and loyal companion. He didn’t deserve a slow and painful death.”

#muerte #perro #justiciaporlosanimales

If Salma Hayek’s dog was killed because he was on someone’s property, it might be hard for her to get the justice she’s seeking.
