Bieber won the big prize in the category of Best Dance Recording for his Skrillex and Diplo track “Where Are U Now?”
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the event, Gomez, who dated Bieber for several years, said she was pleased to see her ex-win the golden statuette after years making his mark in the music business.
She said in the interview, “I’m very happy for him. Honestly, so cool.”
“They have such a cool energy amongst all of them to be able to create something like that. It’s really great,” she concluded.
Bieber was previously nominated for two Grammys in 2011.
After his win, which was not televised during the show, Bieber took to Twitter to thank his fans for their longtime support.

“Beliebers.. We did it! I love you. Now get ready for the show. Not done yet. #GRAMMYs.”
Fans looking for a re-connection of the former lovers should continue to sit idly by, as the singer and actress remarked to Entertainment Tonight that she was “so done” talking about her relationship with the singer.
“Well, I am sorry, first of all,” she said to Rolling Stone via Entertainment Tonight that fans saw a private moment between the two where Bieber serenaded Gomez in a hotel bar and captured it on video.
“Honestly, what I would love to be printed is that I am so beyond done with talking about that, and him,” she deadpanned.
“I don’t alter my life because of what people are going to talk about,” she remarked.
“If I go and have a great time, I live my life and nothing is going to dictate how I feel unless I let it,” remarked Gomez.
“I love every choice that I’ve made because now I understand how to apply that to my music. This is who I am. I’m glad my life was never perfect,” she concluded in the interview.
