Seven Affordable Countries to Visit From the U.S. This Year

If you’ve got the itch to travel this year, and you’re on a budget, there’s good news. Not only is the dollar stronger than it has been in a while, flight prices are also lower than usual, believe it or not. Patrick Surry, chief data scientist at Hopper, says this means some popular destinations are more affordable than ever.

A few countries Surry says are more affordable this year:

Denmark: He points out that the price of a round-trip flight has dropped by more than 25% in the past couple of years. The average is now $673. Plus, the Danish Krone has dropped 21% against the U.S. dollar in recent years.

South Africa: Similarly, flight prices to South Africa have dropped by 25% since last year. Round-trip tickets from the U.S. are now about $980, and the Rand has declined about 30 percent.

Australia: Their dollar has declined almost 19% against the U.S. dollar, and flight prices are down by about 22 percent to major cities like Sydney and Perth.

There are a few others on their list, and you can check it out at the link below.
