Keep ‘em coming, Hollywood. Real men ain’t complaining, especially when it comes to the seven hottest female heroes we’ve seen on screen.
7. Claire Bennet – Heroes – Hayden Panettiere
Save the cheerleader, save this really gorgeous and sweet character that I totally fell in love with despite her existence being entirely fictional. Claire Bennet was the indestructible girl who could survive just about anything. Not only is that an awesome super power, but actress Hayden Panettiere was a big reason why the first season of Heroes was such a big hit. Sure, the show fell off big time after that. But Ms. Panettiere and her super healing powers never left the minds of countless young men in America.
6. Selina Kyle – The Dark Knight Rises – Anne Hathaway
Sassy demeanor? Check. Flexibility? You got it. Skintight leather costume? Oh yeah. Bruce Wayne wasn’t the only guy swooning for Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises. A career criminal, Selina Kyle is guilty of stealing millions of hearts upon this film’s release. This cat burglar with a heart of gold and an exquisite body is one of the best screen representations of the iconic Batman character after Michelle Pfeiffer. I feel bad for the next actress who attempts to walk in her, uhhh, paws?
5. Sue Storm – Fantastic Four – Jessica Alba
With a face as gorgeous as Jessica Alba’s, there is no reason this powerful superhero ever needs to be invisible. Her other super powers include the ability to put up with the whiny and annoying Mr. Fantastic and project force fields. Both are equally impressive. I would happily break the law if it mean the Invisible Woman would come after me.
4. Jean Grey – X-Men Franchise – Famke Janssen
I really don’t understand how so many humans hate and fear mutants. I mean, when they look like Storm and Jean Grey, you think more people would come around. Maybe Senator Kelly was in need of some Cialis. Either way, Famke Janssen’s Jean Grey is hot in a sultry and slow burning type of way. Her genius level intellect coupled with her obvious physical attributes (her powers, not her sexy body. Get your mind out of the gutter) make her one of the most powerful mutants ever.
3. Storm – X-Men Franchise – Halle Berry
Storm one of the most badass mutants in the X-Men universe. Halle Berry is one of the most gorgeous actresses in Hollywood. Unfortunately for both, the movie franchise has treated her character more as ancillary window dressing than integral member of the team. Berry’s Storm deserves much more than that. Sigh, what could have been…
2. Buffy Summers – Buffy The Vampire Slayer – Sara Michelle Gellar
The hottest girl is always the girl next door. The one you grew up with who is kind, down to earth and a good person. You know, the complete opposite of every girl you knew in high school. Sara Michelle Gellar’s Buffy Summers fits that bill perfectly. Most of us 90s babies matured right along with Buffy, navigating the complicated waters of adolescence. This gave us a nice connection to the character. Buffy was a beautiful girl who would always have your back against both cruel high school bullies and blood sucking vampires. Now that’s a keeper.
1. Black Widow – The Avengers – Scarlett Johansson
The only thing that comes to mind when I think of Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow is, “BOW CHIC A WOW WOWWWWW.” Black Widow has GOT. IT. GOING. ON. I don’t know too many women who can help save the world while simultaneously having perfect hair and skin. With apologies to Anne Hathaway and Selina Kyle, Johansson’s skintight black leather costume takes the cake for best costume. Now if only Marvel would green light the solo Black Widow movie we all want.
