Break Poll: Is It OK To Eat “Medium Rare” Chicken?! Viral Post Causes Outrage

For Today in Break Culinary Corner we go to Facebook where an Australian woman has caused the latest viral Internet outrage. Morgan Jane Gibbs was just making herself a little dinner that she thought would be healthy in keeping with her New Year’s resolution to eat right. This may be true if her goal is to lose a lot of weight via severe stomach illness.

Looks like a new presidential fetish.


Gibbs told her followers;

“Just made chicken medium rare chicken strips. They’re so good can’t believe I’ve never tried it like this before. Can’t wait to dig into this with my homemade salad and veges.”#healthy #newyearsresolution #clean #cleaneating”

Hashtag clean eating, ya’ll! Many were quick to point out that it’s not going to be that clean an eating experience when she is VOMITING chicken strips back up all over the floor. Others weren’t so sure of the gastronomical implications of attempting to digest poultry that was not fully cooked. I mean, what’s the big deal, you guys know that sushi is just raw fish right? This is just like sushi but with chicken.

According to the government “scientists” at the USDA who want to impose lots of overbearing regulations and take our fun away, chicken should be prepared with a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees. Otherwise these food Nazis claim that eating raw chicken could result in contracting Salmonella bacteria. Symptoms of Salmonellosis include; Nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, fever chills, headaches and BLOODY poop.

THEN a woman all the way in Texas, Dakota Jean was so inspired by the Australian lady’s dish she decided to try making it herself and even took a pic that looked exactly like the one Gibbs had posted, using the same BOWL and everything!

That post went even more viral (viraler?)  and received some of the craziest responses including one from YouTuber ActionJaxon.

Others just had some sick advice for their fear that these medium rare chicken eaters were about to get sick;


Gibs even GOT INTO IT with folks, claiming she didn’t know you could get Salmonella from chicken;

Taco Bell just unveiled a new taco shell; they had previously used Doritos and now they are going to sell breaded chicken taco shells for Americans who just want to eat their pain away. Maybe Taco Bell can use a medium rare slab of chicken for their next stoner inspired taco shell?
