People who mocked former NFL star Tim Tebow’s frequent on-field prayers might change their tune after he proved his divine connection during a Delta flight. When a man fell unconscious and his heart stopped beating, Tebow rushed to his aid. Moments later, with Tebow leading the prayers, his pulse returned.
The miraculous incident took place during Delta Flight 1772 from Atlanta to Phoenix. Richard V. Gotti documented the jaw-dropping experience on Facebook.
When the man began having problems, several passengers attempted to help him. “Whether it was chest compressions, starting an IV, helping breathe life into this man, or praying everyone helped! I listened to shock after shock from the AED machine and still no pulse. No one gave up,” Gotti wrote.
“Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle. That guy was Tim Tebow,” he continued. Tebow had been seated in first class but had come back to offer his support.
“I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation. The plane landed in Phoenix and that was the first time they got a pulse back!” Gotti wrote. Paramedics met the plane on the runway and took the man to a nearby hospital.
While some might meet Gotti’s story with skepticism, both Tebow’s camp and Delta Airlines representatives have confirmed it to be true, according to ABC News.
Who’s making fun of Tebow’s penchant for prayer now? Nobody.
